Living the bachelor lifestyle is undoubtedly a whole lot of fun, but it does have its downside you know. You see, a lot of girls these days can be very suspicious of young single guys who are constantly going out and having fun. They seem to assume that we are all unthinking, unfeeling creatures who are only interested in sex. And that’s a tad unfair really… I mean I am obviously interested in %u2018getting lucky'(just like any other healthy young guy!) but I do have a sensitive side as well. I actually have a great deal of respect for girls and I never, ever view them as mere %u2018sex objects’!

Unfortunately, not all modern men have the same healthy philosophy as me and some of them really are out and out pervs…. You know the sort I mean; they will often be heard making inappropriate remarks about ladies and they probably get their jollies by wearing nothing more than wellington boots and those dodgy adult bibs ! Is it really any great surprise then that I wish to publicly denounce this primitive behaviour and distance myself from it at the same time??? Well, now you can see why I felt it necessary to write this blog post!

No, the last thing I want is to find myself being grouped with pervy men; either young or old ones. I’m all for having lots of fun, but I do draw the line somewhere. You may think I sound a bit old fashioned for a modern twenty first century guy – and perhaps I am. However, as far as I’m concerned, the fairer sex is there to be enjoyed in a respectful way. I’m not professing to be a true romantic, but I do think that I have a pretty good understanding of how ladies like to be treated.

So you certainly won’t find me wolf whistling at the girls or making them blush with any lewd remarks. Oh no, when I’m in female company I am always on my very best behaviour! So give me a break ladies and don’t go tarring every young single man with the same brush. We are not all sex fiends you know and some of us even remember to use our %u2018p’s and q’s'now and then!

There, I feel a whole lot better for getting that off my chest. Now I going to order myself a pizza, wash it down with half a dozen cans of lager and watch a really macho action movie!!!

Learn to be tough when you are in the right

You are resting at the Auberge de Jeunesse Amsterdam and you are rudely interrupted by a loud commotion outside your door. You walk out to find a guy is talking in a loud voice and is laughing a lot trying to impress his girlfriend. You have been rudely interrupted in your sleep and your family members have also been disturbed. What do you do? How do you proceed? Well, the good guy or the nice guy is going to pose a polite request and will ask the individual to stop making the commotion.

Or, you may go ahead and complain to the management. Well, the real tough man inside you should step out and make it very clear that the behavior of the individual is just not acceptable. Remember, there will be hundreds and thousands of reasons not to behave in a manner that has been described above. You may be told that behaving in such a manner is rude and unacceptable.

Or, you may fear about the safety of your family. Remember that these are just excuses and the truth is that you are scared of taking a tough stance even when you know that you are right. Many persons make the mistake of thinking that being tough is all about behaving in an unreasonable manner. That is not how it works. Being tough is all about standing for what you believe is right and defending yourself. It is not wrong to expect that you should be permitted to sleep in peace.

If you are not ready to stand up for the same, then you might as well give it up. Once you adopt this approach, you will realize that you automatically start thinking differently. You will be in a position to impress the people around you with your dominance and leadership. Aggression is not bad. Unrestricted aggression is bad but being tough when the need is there is not a bad thing.

Everyday rebellious: making a point

Much is said of the bad boy in the club, or the bad boy in the pub. But what about the bad boy in everyday life? Like at work or on the bus? How does one be a bad boy and yet not offend anyone too badly while queuing and someone steps in when they shouldn’t? Good question, here are my thoughts on being the average everyday bad boy with a rebellious streak:

1) Being a bad boy doesn’t mean being unfair to people, it just means looking cool and looking after yourself: be assertive. You work for an hr payroll software company and the boss keeps dumping all the work on your desk at 5pm?

It’s no good being a wimp my friend!

…Well, how about you take a walk to his office, in front of everyone, carrying all the files, and dump them right back where they were? Two can play at that game my friend! You had better make sure you have a fair argument, of course. The way I do it is cross may arms and wait until the other person has finished their rant. Then I nod like a cool dude and tell him very quietly how it is, trying to look as unbothered as I can. It usually works a treat.

2) Being a bad boy does mean you have to be brave. It’s no good being a wimp my friend! Say you get on the bus and the bus driver won’t take your £5 note. What do you do? Make a scene? No, of course not. The bad boy also knows when not to react in a hostile way. Instead of getting upset, he simply smiles at the driver and turns around and asks the other passengers for change. This is best done while wearing dark shades and a tight black leather jacket, but exceptions can be made so don’t worry too much.

How bad can you go?

I love my reputation among friends and acquaintances as a bit of a bad boy, and play up to it whenever I can; but the truth is that I’m actually a decent bloke who loves his Mum and will do anything for his pals. That might make me sound a bit like a 1960s East End gangster, but the comparison with actual criminals ends there. A lot of my “bad boy” persona is posturing; a bit of a laugh among mates. OK, I have a lot of one night stands and some of those birds would probably say I was horrible to the, but when I do meet the girl of my dreams; I’ll treat her like a princess. Hang one – we’re back to the East End gangster again!

I realised the other day that my reputation as a bit of a geezer might have gone a bit too far when someone asked me for advice as to how they could nick some office cleaning supplies and a few other bits and pieces from their workplace. Apparently they thought that cos I enjoy a few jars with the boys, have been known to dabble in some recreational drugs and have slept with more than my fair share of girls that I was some kind of hardened criminal! Not sure how they came to that conclusion, but I put them right pretty quickly; that ain’t the kind of reputation I’m looking for, especially as my own job is hanging by a thread after all those ’sick'days I took over the summer…

There are two kinds of bad boy in the world and I’m definitely the harmless variety; the type that will be a bit cheeky to pretty barmaids, chat up his mate’s bird or maybe even have a fling with his Mum’s hot pal – but I always get away with it ’cos I can use my charms to calm everyone down when it all starts kicking off. Can’t see the coppers falling for my suave chat-up lines down the local nick, can you?

Broken Glass

Bad boys cluster together like empty pint glasses on a pub table, so over the years I have been lucky enough to gather together a great group of lads who are always up for a night out or a trip away where we can indulge our badness by picking up girls, drinking to excess, and showing the world that we are having fun in our own, special, loud but (as we think) funny and entertaining way.

This summer a group of us bad boys gathered together for a long weekend away in France. Our chosen spot was a self-catering house half way between Calais and Boulogne on the northern French coast. This destination was chosen partly because it is so close to southern England, and partly because Calais in particular has a huge range of cheap booze warehouses particularly catering for Booze-Cruise Brits.

We thought it would be easy to get to, but exotic enough for us to enjoy foreign beers, wine and ladies.

So most of us took the ferry across the English Channel from Dover. It’s a short crossing, just long enough to get in a couple of drinks in the bar and tear through the onboard shop. Although ‘duty free'goods are no longer permitted on trips between European Union countries, the ferry still sells a good range of cheap alcohol, cigarettes, perfumes, chocolates, etc.

We took the chance to stock up for our holiday house, and in Calais we picked up even more cheap booze and food. In Calais we also had to wait for a couple more bad boys who had come down from Scotland and had to arrange for a stansted airport transfer to get to France.

The French ladies were charming and charmed by us

Our weekend was everything we expected, and the French ladies in the bars and clubs were charming and were charmed by us. A satisfactory time was had by all, and when we headed back to Calais we were reeling from the long nights and longer drinking sessions. In town and on the ferry we bought as much cheap booze as we could carry. Back in England we staggered from the ferry towards our coach to London. Whoops. John had had too much to drink. He tripped, dropped his armful of wine boxes, which knocked into Steve’s legs, making him drop his armful of beer bottles and pushing him against Paul. Paul tried to keep this balance and failed. His bag of wine bottles dropped and he reeled into Mark.

Like a set of dominoes, we crashed and fell into each other, dropping a wine and beer lake onto the coach park surface. Coach drivers glared at us in fury. Bad boys strike again.

Be bad, but be careful

It’s a fine line, isn’t it? You want to be bad enough that you get noticed for your badness, but at the same time, you’d HATE IT if you were too bad and that affected your life and your chances at scoring with the hot women. Here are a few examples of how to straddle the two and not end up looking stupid:

1) Someone spilled beer on you on their way to the bar: now, only a weakling of a man would accept this. You cannot accept it. What you can do, however, what you must do, is make a stand. How much of a stand? Well, don’t throw the first punch. To come out of this looking cool you will have to accept that there is a certain amount of pain involved. Wait until you get punched in the face and then assert yourself and you’ll have the babes queueing up from around the corner!

This will make all the girls hearts melt and you’ll win out after all

2) Someone pushes in front of you at the bus stop: are you taking this? No! Of course you’re not, don’t be ridiculous! There again, shouting the man down is a bad idea. You’ll look like a maniac with an attitude; what you can do, however, is take him to one side and have a ’little chat’. This’ll make girls in the queue – if there are any, that is – think of films like The Godfather where cool won over hasty action. Now, as far as a film to be compared to, it doesn’t get much better than that, does it?You are swimming.

3) Someone cuts in front of you and kicks you in the face and ouch, it hurts. Now, the issue here is that it will be hard to prove it wasn’t an accident. The other issue is that because it happened underwater, the ferocity of the attack – accident, or whatever you want to call it – won’t have been witnessed by others. For this I suggest waiting until the guy gets out of the pool and then pushing him into the pool as hard as you can. Then, when he jumps out in a rage, you dive into the water again. This means that when he attacks you in the water you can act as though you’re all wounded. This will make all the girls hearts melt and you’ll win out after all. (Note: this blog does not condone violence such as smashing geeks'chess boards over geeks'heads. Not unless there is nobody looking and you can definitely get away with it, in which case please, feel free to go ahead.)

How to get a friend’s girl

Hm, you can already see from the title of this post that we have stumbled into VERY murky waters, right? I mean, this isn’t the kind of thing to take lightly. There are rules. Such as:

1) No matter how much of a rebel you are, never ask a mate’s girlfriend out if things are going well between them. Unless he is double-crossing her. In which case go for it.

2) If your friend is going through a hard time – his dog just died, say – then hold back off trying to get his girl. If he ran the dog over, though, and it was not the second but third time he has done this, then it’s fair to say he is probably cursed. You’d better act lightning fast and get that girl out of his clutches before a similar fate becomes of her!

Now, no matter what people might tell you and society might say, it’s perfectly OK to try it on with your mate’s girl. But if possible, and if it’s your best mate, you really should ask first. It’s just common courtesy.

What happens if they say No? Well, you have to take emergency action and ask yourself the following crucial questions:

1) Is this girl worth the hassle? If Yes go straight to question 2. If No then you’re better off looking elsewhere, right?

2) Do you care about being friends with your friend forever? Probably not as much as getting your hands on that hot girl of his, let’s be honest!

3) Is your mate a gibbering fool who gets so drunk he thinks data deduplication is a real word? In that case then you should have acted ages ago, shouldn’t you?

Nautical Star Tattoos

So which man doesn’t want to have a tattoo? Everyone is my answer and I just came across a tattoo that I like. It’s the nautical star tattoo. Nautical star tattoos have the advantage of being unisex – unlike the butterfly or the skull, it can be flaunted by both men and women.

All tattoos are symbols with specific meanings, and the nautical star tattoo has significance – it is the symbol of the star that guided the sailors and travelers who had lost their way. Earlier it was favored only by sailors, but later on it became accepted by punk groups and military people. I have even seen them on the flight crew on one of those cheap flights I regularly take across the country.

Nautical star tattoo is in the shape of a five pointed star, with each point shaded in two colors which gives it a three dimensional look. Some people tattoo just the star while some like to embellish it with designs of a shark or mermaid along with it. Some men prefer to add a personal touch by tattooing their zodiac sign along the star.

People like to experiment with the ways in which this star is tattooed. Some have just one star on their wrist or upper arm, while some others prefer a chain of stars flowing down their arms.

The tattoo used to be in either black and white or red and white, but now more colors are used to make it look distinct. So whatever manly colours you like can be used freely.

4 Awesome Ways To Be Bad

1) You’re walking down the street and spot a hot looking girl. She’s a bit geeky, not your usual type, but what the hell? You’re feeling adventurous. So, what you do is this: as you pass her you accidentally drop something on the floor. You know the drill: she calls to you to pick it up, you shout at her, and she realises that you’re the bad boy she’s been looking for forever. Works every time!

2) You’re in the supermarket. Near the meat counter is a very attractive looking lady. Now you do this: when the nerdy guy who is studying his vegetables walks past you, you shove him into the shelves and stuff flies everywhere. The girl spins around to see what is going on. You push the nerd away and explain that THAT pervert was looking up her skirt. It’s always a winner.

3) This one will take courage. On a bench, in a park, you sit down and sob bad boy tears. You know the kind: swearing, shouting, kicking stuff. Telling passerby to mind their own business. And soon, that nice woman who works down the road at British wheat – the scientist woman – is sitting next to you comforting you. That’s when you turn to her and very seriously say, “I’m a bad boy who needs some lovin’”, and that’s it: the deal is secured.

4) Some guy bumps into you on the street, are you gonna take it? No, especially not if there are two very attractive babes standing nearby. You make a massive scene, grab him by the scruff of the neck and scream at him. It can’t fail, trust me, I know.
